The Contacta STS–K009–IP–L–B is the IP-Rated version of the K009 Surface Mounted Entry Unit. It is designed for use when one-to-one communication needs to take place through a safety screen but one side is external. The K009-IP is ingress protection rated IP55 against penetration from water and dust.

Its applications comprise of: nursing/care homes, hospitals/surgeries, railway stations, distribution centres and airport… or anywhere where there is a partition which isn’t consistently monitored. The surface mounted call unit is designed for installation at head height. The call button on the front of the unit triggers an audible alert to inform staff of a customer’s presence and to allow them to open a handsfree conversation channel.

The K009-IP is designed to be used in conjunction with a Speech Transfer Amplifier (STS-A31H-K009IP), a Surface Mounted Call Unit (K009-IP), a Staff Loudspeaker Unit (STS-SU1-B), PS-55 Power Supply (PS-55-01), and Counter Hearing Loop Aerial (IL-AE99).
