The Contacta IR–RXU is a two-channel Portable Infrared Underchin Receiver, compatible with Contacta IR transmitters using frequencies 2.3MHz and 2.8MHz (just like the IR-TX4).The receiver is easy-to-use, comfortable and can switch between mono and stereo.

The earpieces swivel, meaning they keep their position in the ear even when a user turns their head. It utilises rechargeable batteries, and up to 5 units can be recharged simultaneously using the IR-RXU-DC5. Volume is amplified; adjustable up to 120dB to assist users with hearing loss. Spare rubber earbuds are available if required.
