The Contacta IRRX2 Portable Infrared Receiver is a four-channel receiver, compatible with Infrared Transmitters using frequencies 2.3MHz and 2.8MHz, such as the IR-TX4. It features automatic gain control and high sensitivity for incoming infrared signals.

The receiver uses rechargeable batteries, and up to 5 units can be recharged simultaneously by using the IR-RX2-DC5 Charging Unit. The IR-RX2 is a versatile and sturdy unit which requires either the IR-NL1 Assistive Hearing Neck Loop, or a set of compatible headphones. Volume is amplified, and is adjustable up to 120dB to assist users with hearing loss.
